Morphology Evolved includes 100 newly designed snapshots, organised into four intuitive categories that highlight different aspects of the instrument’s sonic capabilities:

Evolving Textures: Designed to be sustained and gradually develop over time. Using layered sources, modulation, and the Morph Pad, these patches create shifting atmospheres ranging from dark ambiences to expansive soundscapes.

Pads & Synths: A collection of rich pads and classic synthesizer sounds, including analogue-style tones, leads, basses and layered synth textures suited for melodic writing and harmonic support.

Sound Design: Combining sampled textures with wavetable synthesis, these presets create unusual timbres, abstract atmospheres and cinematic sound beds ideal for adding character and tension.

Wavetables: Created entirely using the synth layer, these presets showcase the wavetable engine with digital effects, expressive synth tones and synthesised instrument-style sounds.

At the heart of Morphology Evolved lies a custom wavetable synthesizer, powered by bespoke wavetables created using the OSS Wavetable Creator by Ocean Swift Synthesis. The synth layer can reinforce the tonal centre of a pad, introduce rhythmic modulation, or add shimmering high-frequency content above the original sampled textures.

This hybrid approach blends the organic depth of recorded sound with the expressive flexibility of modern synthesis, enabling complex tonal movement that continuously transforms over time.

Morphology Evolved is built from a rich archive of recordings created using an extensive collection of analogue and digital instruments, experimental sources and professional studio processing. These recordings form the foundation of the library and provide the organic character and sonic depth that define the Morphology sound.

Analogue instruments used in the sessions include modular systems from Analogue Solutions, Analogue Systems and Doepfer, alongside classic synthesizers such as the Minimoog, the Roland System-100M and the EMS VCS-3.

Zero-G Evolved Series & Orbita Engine

The Evolved Series represents a new generation of instruments designed to reimagine our classic sample libraries through modern synthesis and performance tools. Rather than simply updating older collections, the goal is to transform their original recordings into fully interactive instruments that offer deeper control, greater movement, and new creative possibilities.

At the centre of the Evolved Series is our brand new Orbita Engine built for the full version of Kontakt 8. This engine combines layered sampling with wavetable synthesis, morphing performance controls, and an integrated effects architecture. Sounds can be blended across multiple layers using an intuitive XY Morph Pad, while modulation, filtering, envelopes, and per-layer processing allow each element to be shaped independently.

The result is an instrument that goes far beyond traditional sample playback. The engine encourages exploration and performance, allowing sounds to evolve, shift, and respond dynamically in real time.

By introducing the Evolved Series, we wanted to give iconic Zero-G libraries from our 36-year history a new life, preserving their original sonic identity while unlocking new dimensions of movement, expression, and modern sound design. Each Evolved instrument takes the character of its source recordings and expands it into a powerful creative tool for contemporary composers and producers.

The Zero-G Evolved Series starts with Morphology Evolved, Heavy Industry Evolved and Ambient Soundware Evolved, and the series will expand further in 2026.
