A stunning breakbeat collection featuring irresistible feel and compelling usability. Produced by multi AWARD-winning sample CD producer Emre Ramazanoglu in London, who has produced for The Prodigy and William Orbit.

These breakbeats derive their feel and sonic basis from live drumming technique performed by four featured drummers. With equal emphasis on diversity of sound and quality of performance, these unique-sounding breaks were created via extremely creative processing techniques, but with the real feel of a performance.

This amazing groove collection features breaks with irresistible feel and compelling usability, which, although they derive their feel and sonic basis from live drumming technique, are very creatively processed, and were performed by one of four featured drummers (Emre Ramazanoglu or Dave Westlake, with contributions from Jack Yglesias and Steve Ashmore). The recordings were made in London at Metropolis, Padded Cell, Walworth Cage, Triangle, and Line of Flight.

This project was conceived as a much more powerful alternative to "genre-based" sample libraries, offering sample-accurate live drum loops with an equal emphasis on diversity of sound through extremely creative processing techiques, but with the real feel of a human performance.

Many performances changes and evolve, providing multiple loop variations. Real kits are the foundation of the sound of each break, although some incorporate additional live triggered analog drum machines or software triggered sounds. Each bar of each break has been designed to loop perfectly as a 1 bar break (sample accurate BPM), or as part of the whole evolving sequence.

Emre Ramazanoglu is a London Based session drummer and producer whose recent credits include The Prodigy, William Orbit, Tricky, Bobby Gillespie, Tom Middleton and Sikth. Dave Westlake is the drummer with the Sneaker Pimps and session drummer for Medieval Babes amongst others.

"Buy this, it'll rock the globe" - Neil Maclellan (Producer for: Prodigy, Nine Inch Nails).

"I literally don't leave home without these breaks" - Flood (Producer).

"Any new release has to do something pretty special to stand out from the crowd. Luckily, this latest offering from Zero-G does just that, with stacks of excellent quality, original drum breaks that are a cut above the usual stuff doing the rounds... Groove and human feel are present in abundance.. Warm, fat sounds, which cover a wide range of genres... All in all, a highly impressive package that should appeal to anyone who's looking for quality new breaks. Rated 9/10" - Computer Music Magazine, UK

"Perhaps the best feature is the playing and, more specifically, the attitude provided by the loops. This is first class. At lower tempos, there is plenty here that might suit some hip-hop or R&B productions, provided that they were of the more grungy variety. At mid-tempos, there is material that would work in a rock or funk context – although you might want to add an ‘alt-‘ to both of these genres, as the playing is suitably (and very inspiringly) quirky. At higher tempos, there are loops that would work in harder-edged electronca or dance styles (think the Chemical Brothers or The Prodigy) with enough going on to make things sound aggressive. All in all, these breakbeats are inspirational and have plenty of character... if I could give The Operating Table two ratings then it would be five for the quality of the content but perhaps three for the quantity – there was some great material, but I was left wanting more! Four stars it is then. Overall, however, if you like your breakbeats to have attitude, then these loops are certainly worth a spin" - Sound On Sound Magazine, UK
